Mediation

Mediation is a confidential, informal process that allows parties in dispute to resolve adverse situations quickly. We help parties explore their thoughts and feelings, understand their own situations and perspectives and articulate them clearly to others.

This leads to empathy, understanding and robust and lasting outcomes. Whether it is two people in conflict, or whole teams, we can provide a sensitive, confidential, appropriate intervention to enable better resolution and better working relationships going forward.

Neutral Evaluation

Using mediation skills, we hear from all parties confidentially to understand the conflict situation. We are then able to provide a report that identifies the key issues and make practical recommendations to support both the organisation and the parties to resolve the situation.

Conflict Coaching

If a party in a conflict situation is unwilling or not yet ready to mediate, then conflict coaching may be a more appropriate intervention. Through one-to-one meetings the conflict coach supports an individual to manage and productively resolve a conflict they are experiencing.

Training

Feeling confident and competent to resolve workplace conflicts in a respectful and emotionally intelligent way is a key skill for all HR professionals, managers and leaders. Equipping managers with such skills gives them the confidence to know when and how best to intervene when conflicts first arise.

 

In addition to bespoke training, we offer Early Resolution Skills for Managers & Leaders, Core Mediation Skills for HR, Practical Mediation Skills for Managers & Leaders, Facilitated Conversations for HR, Harassment Contact training and OCN accredited workplace mediation training, enabling individuals to be confident, competent and accredited workplace mediators, whether in-house or as consultants. 

 

We can support organisations wishing to establish an in-house mediation scheme, including the recruitment and selection of in-house mediators, embedding a mediation provision within the formal procedures; communications and awareness-raising; and evaluating the success of the scheme.
